Used Saab Research

The process of buying a Used Car can be quite daunting and ultimately disappointing if you don’t really know what you are doing. Now, I’m not going to patronise you by implying that I am any kind of expert in the field, but maybe I can impart some information from my own personal experiences of the used car market. If more people passed on their gathered knowledge from personal experiences then maybe there would be less people in the world feeling considerably burnt by there used car buying experiences.

In my case I had decided, after a multitude of research, to take a look around my local used car dealerships and look for a suitable Used Saab. Let me explain why I chose a Used Saab and what my thinking was. I chose a Used Saab as I had heard a lot of very positive reports about them from the automotive media and press. The general consensus appeared to be that the Used Saab selection represented the more affordable end of the executive saloon market. This appealed to me as I required an executive car for work purposes, but my budget was relatively minor to be looking for an executive car.

After some fruitless searches around the generic used car dealerships in my area, I decided that a better choice would be to travel further afield and visit a dedicated Used Saab dealership. The nearest one I could find on the internet was West End Group who were dedicated Used Saab specialists of some distinction.

After browsing their rather impressive range of Used Saab vehicles I decided to visit them in the flesh. This is a lesson I have learnt in the past; you cannot judge a car by a few photographs alone, you have to see and test the car that interests you thoroughly before handing your money over to the man in the suit. I travelled to West End Group in London as soon as I possibly could to arrange a test drive.

Upon arriving I was struck by the care and attention in which they had prepared the Used Saab vehicles in their dealership. All had been restored to showroom standard, which immediately gave me some indication that West End obviously take a lot of car with their used cars. However, I was extraordinarily aware that cosmetic beauty can’t hide serious faults underneath the bonnet, so resolved to take a test drive as soon as possible.

I immediately homed in on a Used Saab 9-5 Sport, which proved to be a very good choice. The interior was luxurious, the engine purred and remained restrained even when pushed and I was starting to feel as though I was falling deeply in love with this superb Used Saab car.

I eventually bought the first car I tried and have been very happy with it ever since. My main piece of advice would be to research the model you are interested in and look for the good and the bad points both so you don’t get unpleasant surprises later on.
